A Kambo Story
– Kambo client
I sat with kambo the first time after finding out about the medicine in a plant medicine healing circle. I was looking for anything that could help me heal from a head injury and the effects it had on my health. I felt that I was truly dying. I spent six years laying in a bed deteriorating from the pain of constant migraines, increased intercranial pressure destroying my optic nerve, seizures and depression. All of my relationships had taken a turn for the worst. It was hard to be nice when I hurt all the time. I actually didn’t feel any effects from kambo – no nausea or vomiting, no hot flashes, just a little bit of gas. I wasn’t sure what I got out of it that first time. My body needed so much help it was hard to tell where the kambo went. I now understand that kambo gave me the ability to continue to persevere. I became more open to healing alternatives that propelled me into more plant medicines. I continue to use these alternative healing modalities along with kambo to maintain the healing I have experienced. Kambo strengthened my body so that it could heal itself. I am happy to say that because of meditation, plant medicine, frequency healing and kambo, I no longer experience daily debilitating migraines, seizures, or depression. Kambo is an amazing healing element if you are ready.
Kambo: Frequently Asked Questions
1. Is kambo Safe?
As with all things, there are safety protocols. This is why it’s important to find a practitioner who has been educated in the proper administration of kambo.
2. What does kambo have to do with peptides?
The cutaneous secretion, also known as kambo or sapo, of the Phyllomedusa Bicolor, (aka) giant monkey tree frog, contains one of the highest concentrations of these biopeptides. For more on peptides, I recommend Peptide Protocols (William A. Seeds MD).
3. What are peptides? What do they do? Why do we need them?
A peptide is a short chain of amino acids linked by peptide bonds creating a longer chain of linked amino acids called a polypeptide. The proteins manufactured inside cells are made from one or more of these polypeptides. Proteins serve many important function within the cell and make up structural components for the cell. These proteins also catalyze metabolic reactions, and serve in DNA replication. The peptide is the beginning, without it the other chain of events would not occur.
4. Do you really have to burn your skin to get kambo?
Kambo is administered through small burns to the skin in order to be absorbed into the body. Subcutaneous absorption is the only way kambo can be safely administered. Keep in mind the burns only need be small and superficial.
5. Does kambo really help?
Again, peptides. The factual information is that Kambo secretion contain one of the highest, naturally occurring concentration of peptides known currently to man.
6. How does kambo work?
As we age, our cells lose efficiency, and the aging process begins. A peptide is a signaling molecule that allows for cellular efficiency. We have over 7000 naturally occurring peptides that play a crucial role in cellular efficiency and function throughout the body.
Kambo supplementation works in bringing all systems back online so to speak. Kambo can improve cellular efficiency.
Kambo has benefited the indigenous people of the Amazon jungle for more than 2000. I am grateful that these benefits have been shared and has finally reached the western world.
There is more to say about Kambo, I encourage you to personally discover more by doing your own research.
